Cassie Taylor, BS | Senior Analyst/Lab Director In-Training

Ms. Taylor is an Indiana native, however her passions brought her to Colorado in 2016. She has been interested in the Science of Cannabis since a life-long family friend succumbed to complications related to colorectal cancer.

As a sophomore in high school, she was accepted to the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics and Humanities at Ball State University.  Ms. Taylor graduated with honors in 2006. After four years enrolled at Indiana University Bloomington, she graduated with a BS in Chemistry and a Minor in Mathematics in 2010.

Cassie worked as a Quality Control and Quality Assurance Technician at Prairie Farms Dairy for over 5 years. During such time the facility received numerous recognitions for their dedication to maintaining high quality products. The Safe Quality Foods program put into place at the facility was even recognized at a national level when they were distinguished as #1 in the nation for two years in a row.

Cassie worked in the hemp industry for roughly 4 years prior to finding her home here at Free Fall Testing Labs. Her hemp/cannabis knowledge makes her a valuable member of the team. When she is not in the lab, Cassie is spending her time with her four loving dogs and soon to be husband.

Cassie is considered an essential here in our lab. We couldn't do what we do without her valuable input and productivity. Thank you Cassie!

Bernie Toman | Chief Maintenance Officer

Although not technically an employee, Bernie is here to make sure all of our security, maintenance and basic needs are met. Daily he meets many challenges and requests from all of us and he happily finds a solution. Bernie is surely a "jack of all trades" with all of his welding, mechanical and electrical skills he has learned over the years as an iron worker, drag racer and 35+ year retire/veteran from our local power plant, Xcel Energy's Comanche Station.

Bernie's endless energy, unmistakable laugh, and how he could light up a room when he walked in will be missed by many. Rest in peace sweet Bernie.

Kim Toman | Owner

Although Kim has a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, her work experience has evolved throughout the years. She started as a power plant controls engineer and later pursued a career as a stay-at-home mom, raising four beautiful children. When the time came to re-enter the work force, Kim held various positions such as Officer-In-Charge at the USPS, Operations Director for Mountain Park Environmental Center, and most recently as Deputy Finance Director at Pueblo West Metropolitan District.

Building an analytical laboratory from the ground up has been a great but worthwhile challenge.  In her spare time, Kim spends as much time as she can in the outdoors. Her favorite outdoor activities are paddle boarding, tennis, running, mountain biking, backpacking, skiing, snowshoeing, hunting, fishing and dirt-bike riding.
